The 8 8 (huat huat) Day!!!!

Today's finally the day we went for our Japanese Buffet at Hokkaido. Thanks to Groupon, we get to eat Sushi for only RM19 per person! WOW!!!

However, I have made reservations since last Tuesday for a slot to eat today and I wasn't very satisfied with their services last week as it is stated in the voucher, we had to call in for reservations at least 3 days in advance. I did try to call many times on Tuesday since morning til night and the line was either engaged or no one was picking up the phone. As I walked into the shop as they were closing, I made my complaint before making my reservations and their  excuse was that they answered calls after calls and were too busy to entertain any more calls. In my opinion, I think they did not even answer any calls at all...

As you can see above, we arrived early so it was not filled with people yet. My mom was trying to ask me to take her along but because I didn't make a reservation for her, it was not possible to have her along. At least, that was what the waiter said. I was okay with it until I saw walk-in customers seated down by the waiters and saying that there were last minute cancellations. Why can't they inform me instead so I could call my mother?

Of course, for a RM19 buffet, you don't expect much out of it. The same as other cheap bonanza deals in Japanese buffets, all of the food provided is inclusive of a big chunk of Japanese rice.

Unfinished food will be charged at its original price. What are the food provided? Here's the Menu!

I snapped only a few photos of our food as it took the food forever to come. But since we had 2 hours of time, I took my time to take pictures of the first few dishes we ordered. My friends have already dug into their food but I was happily taking pictures of the food.

Handrolls were also ordered and it was the best of all. It was quite fresh and it was the most worth eating.

We sat there since a little before 12pm and left only after 2pm. The buffet was only for 2 hours but we sat there chatting away. I have also made reservations for my mom and some relatives for a weekend lunch here since I had 6 more Groupon Vouchers. The food was not bad but very filling. We ate quite a lot I can say.

At night, we went to Aeon, hoping the queue for Baskin Robbins wasn't too long so we could get ourselves a scoop. However, we only ended up with a cup of Chatime each at the end of the day because the line was INCREDIBLY CRAZY! You should totally check out the video I took...

At 9.45pm, I queued up at Coffee Bean, just a door or two from Baskin Robbins and a little after 10pm, they announced that it is closed and sold out. Everyone moaned and grumbled as me and my pals watched from Coffee Bean.

Thanks Malaysia's athletes for giving us free meals and dessert although I don't get to eat any of it.
