I was invited by Milestone Productions earlier for the previews of Saturday Night Fever. After some complications of the dates, I managed to get someone to go with me in a few days notice. Saturday Night Fever on a Friday. That's what I call a preview...
I invited my cousin Nancy to join me, who drove all the way up from Ipoh for the event and we took an Uber to Istana Budaya at 7pm. As usual, Fridays are jammed and we pitied our driver for driving a stick. It was a wonderful choice to use Uber as I only paid RM8 for the ride. 58% was off for the week for journeys to or from Bandar Utama area. It was our first time to Istana Budaya and we didn't know how to get there anyway.
As we arrived Istana Budaya, it was drizzling. Thank God it wasn't that heavy. We ran in and approached the registration booth for our tickets. We were briefed on which songs we were allowed to take photography or videos and given an agreement to sign. As we left the media booth, we found many people in formal wear. We felt a little underdressed.
What's an event without a backdrop? That's a must take since we were early and not many people were there to fight for the space. We took our own sweet time in taking pictures.
A girl was distributing Munchy's at the entrance and we got one of each as a souvenir. I didn't check the photo before leaving, therefore the girl with her blinking eyes got caught on camera. Sorry babe.
There was also a lucky draw session going on. Here's what I drew out from the box. 2 discount vouchers. 1 of which was a shopping online voucher and the other was a discount voucher for another ticket of Saturday Night Fever.
Here's the program list for those of you attending in the nights to come.

We all had to stand and sing the Negaraku before the event. The show started a bout half an hour late, I suppose because some VIPs were not seated yet. I was seated on the corner in front and wasn't very happy with the seats. Apologies for the not so nice pictures taken due to the angle and me forgetting to bring my camera this trip.
During the break, I went out to the media booth to ask for a switch is place. Thank God some medias were absent and I could take over their passes instead. Apparently I was given a Cat A ticket when I expected for a VIP seat, which was what I was given in the previous Milestone Production "Thriller" event. I was so surprised and disappointed at the seat that was firstly given.
As the dancers ended their act, we waited for the backstage tour. Here's where they had their mini orchestra going.
And thus, begins our backstage tour.
This mirror is designed in a way that less reflections of lights would interfere with the show. Such special glass.
These props are all sent in via air! Can you imagine the cost for these to be sent in?
The one thing I love about all these Live shows are how they organize their props. Look at the system of labelling everything!
There are literally two pieces on steak on the plate for the act! How detailed!
Behind is where the wardrobe is.
This is how they go through their acts. Such details and information given on a big piece of paper.
You haven't been there til you have taken pictures of yourself there now would you?
Absolutely loving these floor lightings. So disco like. I had the urge to lie down and selfie! But I didn't to avoid embarassment. LOL!
Here's a group photo of the cast and behind the scene people.
Last but not least, some selfies with the cast.

It was a great night overall. I still remember singing together with the famous tunes such as "Night Fever", "More Than a Woman", "Tragedy" and "How Deep Is Your Love". It was my first Saturday Night Fever Broadway show and I could say I wasn't lost in the story line at all. It was very well played and acted.
