Woke up at 12.30pm this
beautiful day, just because I can! *LANSI MODE* I pretty much took my time to
clean up, cook myself some noodles and took my shower before I realized I was
almost late for my train to KL! Today's the day of the Rev Cup finale party at
Neverland in KL!
Of course I didn't miss
my train at 2pm. I got on the train, which provided a new route all the way to
Seremban and saw confused passengers questioning about the route as they were
also heading to KL Sentral, which was where I was heading to.
As I arrived KL Sentral, I took another train that took me to Kelana Station, which is where I got on a taxi to get home. I have informed my sister that I needed the car so she left me a car at home to drive all the way to KL! It was really a travelling day for me today til I arrive the event venue itself.
Driving my
brother-in-law's car with just enough petrol, I listened to Hitz FM and heard
that JJ and Ean were suspended. What's the deal? I guess it's just another
marketing strategy.
Throughout 2 years of
being in KL so far, I realized that I have never been stuck in a
"standstill" jam and was not hoping that I would never get stuck in
one. Unlucky for me, I left my house from PJ at 5.30pm, hoping to get there by
6.30pm but I guess you must always be prepared for the impossible if you are
driving around KL.
Yes, as you could have
guessed by now, I was stuck in a massive jam with my Waze GPS leading the way.
It was either the rain or my phone was having some problems with detecting a
location. My Waze kept losing my location and in the end, I took a wrong turn
after being stuck for 1 and a half hours and landed up in a bigger jam! You'll
know that it was a bigger jam as there were policemen everywhere trying to
direct the traffic!!!
I was stuck there for
another half an hour or so. I was supposed to reach there latest by 6.30pm to
get my tickets and it was already 7.30pm when i got out of the traffic. I took
another half an hour trying to find the place. I have never been there before
and I had no contact to any Nuffnang people. My internet was not too good in
that area neither but I was lucky enough to load Neverland's page and got their
contact number. After another 15 minutes of jam, I finally got to the location
and THANK GOD! The registration counters were still open and the event has not
begun yet! I went to the
"blogger, media" section and got my blogger pass and my invite! It
was my first blogger pass!!! SO HAPPY!!!
I walked in and was snapping just a
few pictures when I saw Eddie walking past me. I called out to him and we chatted
for a while. Apparently, Katoon Network, a group of dancers which his brother
Eric is in, was to perform tonight! They were also the winners of the previous
Astro Battleground if you still have not known yet.
As I stood there
talking to Eddie, I didn't expect my school mate to walk up to me! Wow! This
world IS small huh? She was the one who was in charge of the designing and
stuff of that night. Gad to have bumped into her as she entertained me for
about 5 or 10 minutes because I had nowhere to go. As we peeped through the VIP
and VVIP sections which she showed me, I found out that I was supposed to be
sitting at the VVIP section as that was the bloggers and media area! It was
very well located at the back right in front of the stage. As I was peeping and
realizing the only familiar face was Darren from Nuffnang, whom I have seen at
Asahi's event, he walked out and asked me to join his table, which was supposed
to be for the bloggers...
I got to shoot photos
in that section which was not too far back. We got to also sit at the Sofa,
enjoying our drinks and finger food that were delivered to us by the waiters. I
have not had such priviledges before, I think...
Shortly after, the show
started with Jinny and JJ on stage. They were the MCs for the night! They
started the show with Katoon Network's awesome LED performance. It was near to
perfect I can say. I enjoyed it.
Then, it was Sona One's performance, followed by Joe Flizzow! The first performance by Sona One was quite a turn off because of the PA system. Thankfully, they managed to solve the problem quite fast kept the show going.
After the first performance, it was time to give out some prizes to the contestants. The people who gave out the prizes were DJs from radio stations.
Went back to my booth
and was happy that I won this as a consolation after not winning Beats from
Asahi Event. Finally I get some headset for my travelling back and forth every
week!!!
They gave out some more
prizes from the lucky draw and also the Rev Cup winners while I scanned through
the Goodie bag and my winning.
Katoon Network came on
stage again to perform another number.
Then, another round of
winners for the Rev Cup before it was the results of "Battle of the
stations".
Estranged ended the
event with some very famous songs which got me singing along and made me forget
about recording. OOPS! Pictures will do I guess? Sorry guys...
Looking forward to more
events!!! *HINT HINT* If you do have any invites to give out to any blogger, I
do hope that you would consider me? HAHA!!! Hard sell betul weh!
