Few days ago, I received an E-mail informing me that I have won passes for Drum Tao from Churp Churp and I was so excited, looking forward to it since I saw a sneak preview on the net.
I was supposed to have Tao buffet lunch with Xin Yi but she slept in late and passed the time we were supposed to go... Instead, we had Sushi Zanmai at 1Utama since I was already in 1Utama by the time she woke up and called me.
Usually, the place was not only packed, but also has a long queue waiting for seats. We were very lucky today to find no one queuing up and we got to sit right away!
I was feeling very greedy and ordered the Green Tea with Red Bean ice-cream. It was deliciously good! NOMNOM!!!
Lunch was on her coz she felt guilty in letting me wait. WEEE!!! Thanks Xin Yi!!!
Then, she dropped me off at the MRT station at Kelana and I took the train to KLCC! First time for me to sit a train all the way from Kelana to KLCC. Finally I know an alternative way than driving to get there WITHOUT traffic and also worrying about the parking fee. I have heard quite a great deal out of it.
Steph came later to join me for dinner. Yes, I do realize that I am eating two extremely heavy meals in just 3-4 hours. We had dinner at Madam Kwan's, the place where I have not been to for quite a while. I ordered the Nasi Bojari as usual.
While Steph had the Curry noodles.
Here's us camwhoring in front of a mirror that belongs to a hair saloon! ^^
As we walked to the Plenary hall, which was located next to KLCC, I took a few photos of the nice scene there.
We then walked in and looked for the churper to get our free tickets!!!
We didn't waste much time and walked into the hall right after we got out tickets. We were not very early anyway. They have already placed all the drum settings on the stage by the time we got in.
Although non-Malaysians are very punctual, they had to follow our Malaysian clock but it wasn't that bad. They started just a little later than stated.
Enjoy some of the pictures and videos at the end of the post!
In between the performance, they were very entertaining as they tried to make the audience participate in one of their rhythmic clappings. They asked us to follow their beats and it was sure fun. They also added some humour and made the audience laugh with their silly actions.
There was an interval in between and we went out for some fresh air. I was just mainly busy trying to take pictures of the KLCC and playing around with my camera settings.
We then headed back after 15 minutes and it sure felt like a minute to us. The show then went on...
Drum Tao is really awesome and all the beats were very neat and tidy, blowing both me and Steph's minds off. Not to forget the dance which they did with the LED lights, making sort of like an Olympics logo! WOWSOME!
Everyone gathered up, buying their CDs at the end of the show! I didn't buy any as I would love to watch it in real person than to watch or hear something that is produced by electronics. It just won't feel the same.
