I was at The Curve at the moment that Kaze Whatsapp'ed me. At that time, it was 5.50pm. He told me he had an extra ticket for Jennifer Lopez and would be able to give it to me. The concert was supposed to be at 8pm and if I were to go, I had to leave right away. As a blogger that is so desperate to please my fellow readers, fan of Jennifer Lopez and songs which I have heard from a child, I decided to run home in my slippers and in the rain. It took me 10 minutes to get home, having realized my slipper was quite torn by then, went up to my room to change into some dry clothes and drove out right away.
Since time was running short and also since I don't know my way to Stadium Merdeka, I drove to the nearest train station and parked the car there. I took the Kelana train all the way to KL Sentral, got out of KL Sentral, ran opposite the roads under the rain to change to the monorail, which by the way I think is quite inconvenient, hopefully there would be changes to that soon, got off at Maharajalela Station and was relieved to come out to Stadium Merdeka right outside! It was only 7.15pm when I arrived. AMAZING huh?!
I waited for Kaze to arrive before we collected the tickets and entered the stadium...
Yeah, that's me in the drenched look and last minute makeupin the car... Had to tie my hair since it was raining and it was so oily...
Here's the main entrance, which was crowded. Thank God Kaze knew his ways around and took me to another entrance which was EMPTY! Also big thanks to Kaze for preparing us the raincoats!!!
Here's where we were at!!! We just sat a few rows below where I was standing. It is by far the furthest concert I am from the stage, also not being able to see the singer. The first thing that came to mind was "Dayum! I'm not going to get any clear pictures of the concert!!! Let's just hope that TianChad has his DSLR and I could steal some of his pictures..." Unfortunately, he didn't but he was with his compact which was good enough too! Do click on his name for cool event pictures!!!
Here's my "sponsor" for the event. YAY!!! Yeah, he camwhored with my phone in the rain.. HAHA
Let's take a look at the surroundings!
After about an hour of waiting, finally the concert started with a short video clip of Jennifer Lopez on the screen!
Here's more pictures of the concert! Do enjoy! Do forgive me for the unclear photos which I zoomed in for, because I had to use up all optical and digital zoom functions...
She did an encore before everyone finally went home satisfied. It was a short concert though. It was only about 1 and a half hours long. Perhaps the Malaysian weather is just a little too hot. We enjoyed a lot though. Many people danced throughout her performance...
Oh wait... If you'd know me well enough or have been reading my recent blogs, you would have realized that there's more to come. VIDEOS OF COURSE!!! But please forgive the blurness of the videos this time... I will try to do better next time... :(
Thank God Kaze parked in the right place, though it was an illegal parking, but we got to escape from the terrible jam that I observed on the internet. We had no problem getting back to Kelana in about 10 minutes or so?
I got home, loaded all my photos and videos and before I knew it?
IT WAS 4AM ALREADY!!! SLEEP TIME!!!
I tend not to create a bunch of remarks, but after
ReplyDeletebrowsing some of the comments on this page "Last minute J Lo concert experience!!!".
I actually do have some questions for you if it's okay. Is it just me or does it look like like a few of the comments look like they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at additional places, I'd like to keep up with you.
